5 Celebs Who’ve Struggled With Acne-Prone Skin

They may always look flawless whenever they hit the red carpet, but these 5 celebrities have all struggled with acne-prone skin. Often caused by hormonal changes, acne can be difficult for anyone to deal with, and these 5 celebs have all battled against the problem. Many still struggle to control their outbreaks and say it has been hard on their careers or has even had to be digitally removed from their work. Others now have their skin under control but admit that having acne-prone skin even left them feeling depressed at the time.
Emma suffered from bad acne outbreaks at the beginning of her career: “I’m actually pretty interested in skin care, because I had bad hormonal acne when I was 17, and they put me on Accutane (acne medication) for it.
“After two months on the Accutane, I went off of it, and since then, my skin, my mouth, my lips, my eyes are all so dry. Then, I had stress acne when I was 20, when I did Easy A, which they kindly video-airbrushed out of the movie. But I realised how debilitating and embarrassing it can be to have cystic acne. So, I’m really interested in the biology of what makes up acne and how to work on it from the outside, too.”
