Updates Injury for New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Clippers

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Clippers won 127-15 over the Oklahoma City Thunder. That was some sweet payback for the team’s Tuesday 101-100 loss to Oklahoma City.

Los Angeles is currently tied for fifth place in the Western Conference with Phoenix, and they lead Golden State by one game. The Clippers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven.

  • Kawhi Leonard – Active

Kawhi Leonard scored 32 points, grabbed six boards, and dished out six assists on the night. He made 13 of 15 attempts.

Without Paul George (knee), Leonard was asked to take on a larger offensive role than usual, and the veteran forward delivered with one of his best performances ever.

  • Injury Update Paul George

Paul George has a sprained right knee, according to scans taken on Wednesday, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. He will be reevaluated in two to three weeks.

Because of his injury, George will probably miss the rest of the season. However, the Clippers are currently in fifth place in the Western Conference, so his return for the playoffs is possible.

With Norman Powell (shoulder) also out, it’s possible that Eric Gordon, Terance Mann, and Nicolas Batum will take on larger roles.

The New Orleans Pelicans knocked off the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday, 115-96. That was their third consecutive win, and they are now tied for 10th place in the Western Conference standings with Dallas, the Lakers, and Oklahoma City.

The Pels is 12-24 on the road this season, but are just 1-3 in their last four road games and the team is 3-0 ATS in their last three games.

Brandon Ingram scored 30 points and added 11 boards and 10 assists for a triple-double.

Although Ingram wasn’t particularly effective on offense, his perfect performance from the free throw line helped him finish with a game-high 30 points. To complete his first career triple-double, he also tied his season high with 10 assists and ranked second on the team in rebounds (19), behind only Jonas Valanciunas.

Ingram has averaged 28.2 points, 7.6 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.2 steals plus blocks in five games since his return from a two-game absence. He has shot 50 percent from the field, 38 percent from three, and 92 percent from the free throw line.
