Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Guide – How to access the Ring Ruins

Ring Ruins Tears of the Kingdom

Unlike the friendly Kakariko Village, Ring Ruins is off-limits to most players in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. So, how do we get in there?

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Guide – How to access the Ring Ruins

Every time you get close to the Ring Ruins, a man named Calip will try to prevent you from going in. This is because access to this part of the game is restricted until a certain point in the main storyline has been reached.

Technically, you won’t be able to enter the Ring Ruins until you’ve made significant progress through the main story—that is, after you’ve visited all four Regional Phenomena locations and completed the Crisis in Hyrule Castle.

There is a sidequest that requires you to look for slabs near the ruins, but you do not need to enter the Ring Ruins specifically. Instead, use the Ascend ability to scale the scaffolding and reach the additional ruins above the village. Otherwise, proceed with the story and return later.
