Hogwarts Legacy Day One Patch Notes: Stability improvements, bug fixes, PC crashing & more

Hogwarts Legacy day one patch

As with the majority of modern AAA games, you will need to download a day-one patch to fully experience the wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy Day One Pacth Notes

A day one patch must be installed before players can begin their adventure in Hogwarts Legacy. According to the Hogwarts Legacy FAQ page, those who purchased a digital copy will receive the update along with the initial download immediately.

Ray tracing and performance improvements will be included in the day one patch, according to Warner Bros. Games. Furthermore, this one-day patch aims to address the following issues:

  • Fixes to game crashing issues on PC
  • Address the stuttering and lag issues.
  • Add gameplay adjustments and optimizations.
  • Add general stability fixes.
  • Add performance improvements across all platforms
  • Bug fixes and other minor updates

The PC update looks to be around 300 MB in size.

The future addition of DLC for the game by Avalanche Software is also unknown at this time. With Hogwarts Legacy’s expansive world and lore, however, it may only be a matter of time before developers reveal their intentions to make one.

Those who preordered the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition of Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox can use the New Zealand trick to play the game immediately. The popular role-playing game won’t be available to standard edition users until February 10 (or February 9 with the aforementioned trick). All versions, however, will need the launch day update.
