League of Legends Ink Mage leaks – New champion with a novel mechanic

New champions will continue to emerge throughout 2023, with this year already witnessing the debut of Milio. The Darkin Assassin Naafiri has been announced as the next champion, and a Vampire champion is also in development. Our lone remaining champion is the mysterious Ink Mage, who may make their debut as late as October 2023.

There is some new and old information floating around about this champion. According to BigBadBear, this champion was revealed a few years ago in an old interview with Riot Meddler, in which he mentioned an Ink Mage champion who used art and ink to enhance their skills.

Their ultimate, which allowed players to physically create terrain on the map, would have been the most important aspect of their kit. This would cause a slew of problems, but Riot may have discovered a way to implement it years later.

One thing is certain: this champion will be a late game monster, especially considering the number of scaling mages Riot has been releasing as of late.

About League of Legends

League of Legends (LoL), also known as League, is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games in 2009. Riot’s founders were inspired by Defense of the Ancients, a custom map for Warcraft III, and wanted to create a standalone game in the same genre. League has been free-to-play since its release in October 2009, and it is monetized through purchasable character customization. The game is compatible with Microsoft Windows and macOS.
