To investigate the crime scene effectively, your squad will need high Wisdom and Medicine checks, each requiring 80 points. These checks will reveal that one victim was shot with a 9mm hollow point round, while the other died from Strychnine poisoning.
Gathering CluesÂ
Speak to Doctor L’Enfer about the murders to learn that similar incidents have occurred in the past – always one victim shot and one poisoned, never both. Your investigation will lead you to the Le Domas and Van Tassels families. Le Domas has access to Strychnine, while Van Tassels possesses plenty of 9mm Hollow Point ammo.
Confronting the Suspects
Armed with this evidence, players can return to the doctor and reveal their suspect. To bring a resolution, it is wise to position squad members to encircle both families, setting up a machine gun for added protection.
The options for accusation include:
- Van Tassels
- Le Domas
- Vengeful spirits (no impact)
- The doctor (innocent)
- Say that families were killing each other (correct deduction)
Wrongly accusing the doctor results in a reward of $10,000, but the true revelation of the families as the collective murderers triggers a fierce battle against both families. Defeating them all will lead to significant reputation gains and the resolution of the murder mystery.
How to find the hidden treasure at the farms in Jagged Alliance 3
Prepare for a treasure hunt that will take you across the map in Jagged Alliance 3. The “Treasure at the Farms” mission will require you to visit several farms to uncover the hidden treasure.
Starting the Hunt
Head to the Middle of Nowhere in sector A11 to initiate the mission. You’ll encounter Mario, who will mention that his father sold the better farm to Mr Gattz. Stick around to defend the farm, and you’ll be rewarded with a diamond.
Collecting Clues
To find the treasure, you must gather three clues from Mario’s relatives, found at the following farms:
- Middle of Elsewhere (E5)
- Middle of Everywhere (I13)
- Middle of Anywhere (C15)
Fight off hostiles at each farm, then engage in dialogue with the NPC displaying a yellow marker above their head until you obtain a clue. For instance, Ma Baggs at the Middle of Elsewhere will hint that the treasure lies in a field of corn.
Unearth the Treasure
With all three clues in your journal, head to Middle of Somewhere at K20, the farm Mr Gattz acquired from the late Pa Baggs. The treasure will be highlighted close to a red-leaf tree, a key landmark on all “Middle of…” farms.
Loot the treasure, but beware – Gattz will turn hostile, requiring you to defeat him to complete the mission.
Note: Visiting the farm before obtaining the clues will not highlight the treasure for you to dig up.
