Injury report Wizards – Bulls: Is DeMar DeRozan, Bradley Beal ready today?

The Washington Wizards (28-31) will play the Chicago Bulls (27-33). The game is set to take place this coming Sunday in Chicago. In the United Center, the game will start at 3:30 PM EST.

The Wizards won the previous matchup between these two teams, 100-97, and this will be their fourth and final meetings with each other during the regular season.

Wizards vs. Bulls injuries: 4 players out for this game

The Washington Wizards enter this game on the heels of a 115-109 loss to the New York Knicks. They had trouble scoring, so they’ll need to improve their defensive play if they’re going to challenge the Bulls on the road.

In 35 minutes of action during Friday’s 115-109 loss to New York, Bradley Beal scored 16 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), added 2 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.

Beal led the Wizards with 8 assists on Friday, despite scoring a season-high 35 points in their previous game before the All-Star break.

The dynamic point guard was doubtful for the game due to a knee injury, but he ended up playing all 35 minutes despite not appearing to be at full strength.

The Wizards’ next injury report will provide more information about Beal’s status for Sunday’s second game of a back-to-back set.

Injury reports: Kristaps Porzingis (Knee).

Kristaps Porzingis will sit out Sunday’s game against the Bulls with a sore left knee.

After playing in 10 consecutive games, including a pair of back-to-backs, Porzingis will sit out Sunday to rest his knee.

Without him, Deni Avdija and Anthony Gill should see expanded roles in the lineup against the Bulls. On Tuesday in Atlanta, Porzingis will have his next opportunity to play.

After sensing and seizing the urgency in their first game after the All-Star break, the Chicago Bulls will try to maintain the momentum Sunday as they host the Washington Wizards.

With a right quad strain, DeRozan was unable to play in the Bulls’ final two games before the break, but the fact that he was able to handle a normal workload in an exhibition game bodes well for his status coming out of the break.

The veteran should be treated as day-to-day until the Bulls release a revised injury report, but at this time, he looks like he will be able to play against the Wizards on Sunday.

Injury reports: Javonte Green (Knee), Goran Dragic (Knee) and Lonzo Ball (Knee).

Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports that Green (knee) has started running but is still a couple of weeks away from doing contact work.

Green’s right knee injury has kept him out of action since December 31. He has fallen behind in his rehabilitation. It looks like he’ll have to be gone for a few more weeks.

Due to continued left knee pain, Dragic will sit out for a fourth consecutive contest. After the acquisition of Patrick Beverley, the veteran lefty may not even be needed when healthy.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Bulls executive vice president of operations Arturas Karnisovas announced that Ball (knee) would be unavailable for the upcoming 2022–23 season.
