Injury Report Nuggets – Rockets: Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray return to lineup?

The Houston Rockets is playing against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday at Toyota Center.

Updates Injury for Houston Rockets vs. Denver Nuggets

Something new is about to happen for the Denver Nuggets, and it could happen as soon as Tuesday.

Denver (52–26) is one win away from securing the top seed in the Western Conference. This is something the Nuggets have never done since they joined the NBA in 1976. When it goes to play the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, that could happen.

The impressive win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night got the Nuggets to this point.

The Nuggets have missed the services of Nikola Jokic for the last three games. The reigning back-to-back MVP has been dealing with a nagging calf injury that has kept him sidelined for the past week.

With a matchup against the Houston Rockets coming up on Tuesday, it now seems that Jokic is headed for another night off due to this same issue.

Jokic might not be able to play against Houston on Tuesday because of a calf injury.

Jokic was also doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Warriors because of his sore right calf, but he didn’t play for the third game in a row.

It’s not clear if he’ll be able to play Tuesday, but if he can’t, Thomas Bryant and DeAndre Jordan should continue to get more playing time.

Jokic is a phenom for the Nuggets, but there are a lot of other things that make the team excited for a run at the title. After what rookies Watson and Christian Braun have done recently, the Nuggets might have a little more depth.

Jamal Murray said, “We have a lot of young guys that showing up right now and getting themselves ready for playoffs and I think that’s huge for us,”

Jamal Murray might be able to play against the Rockets on Tuesday, even though he has a sprained right thumb.

Murray has been dealing with a knee injury for the past few weeks, but he is having trouble with his thumb before Tuesday’s match. But he should be able to play against Houston.

In his last 10 games, he’s averaged 35.8 minutes, 20.8 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.0 rebounds.

After Sunday, the Rockets (19-60) will have a long offseason, and the most important thing that will happen this spring is where they place in the NBA draft lottery. Houston is 16-62, which is the second worst record in the NBA. If the lottery balls fall Houston’s way, it could get the coveted No. 1 pick.

But the players don’t care about that. Instead, they’re focused on making a name for themselves in the NBA. One example is how they beat the Detroit Pistons on Friday night by coming back in the fourth quarter.

Three years ago, Houston was a contender, and two years before that, it was one win away from the NBA Finals. But things have changed quickly.

The Rockets traded their best players and started a rebuilding process, which could get a boost if they get the first pick and can choose the French star Victor Wembanyama.
