The Jazz won their first two meetings with the Lakers this season, 130-116 and 139-116, but they were defeated 135-133 in overtime on April 4.

The Los Angeles Lakers (42-39; 40-39-2 ATS) defeated the Phoenix Suns 121-107 at home on Friday. It was the Lakers’ fifth win in six games, following a tough 125-118 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Lakers limited the Suns to 45 points in the second half. The Purple-and-Gold shot 18-for-36 from beyond the arc and had a 25/16 assist-to-turnover ratio.

The Lakers were led by D’Angelo Russell’s 24 points, Austin Reaves’ 22 points and five assists, and Anthony Davis’ 14 points, 21 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. LeBron James finished with 16 points and six assists on 6-of-19 shooting.

Davis’ usual status, and the big man has started 11 straight games. In 35.9 minutes, he’s averaged 26.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.0 steals.

  • D’Angelo Russell – Probable vs. Jazz

Due to left foot soreness, D’Angelo Russell (foot) is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Jazz.

Russell has been dealing with a lingering foot injury, but he’s been listed as probable for the regular-season finale.

Russell had a team-high 24 points against the Suns on Friday, and he has averaged 17.4 points and 6.1 assists per game since joining the Lakers before the trade deadline.

The Lakers are tied for the seventh seed in the Western Conference with New Orleans. They have a tiebreaker over the Pelicans and can clinch the seventh seed with a win over the Jazz
