Summary

1. Brock Purdy

UPDATE: Purdy (oblique/ribs) is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against the Commanders, according to ESPN.com’s Nick Wagoner.

Brock Purdy is now 3-0 in the NFL, including a victory in his first start against Tom Brady and a road win against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Purdy commanded the offense completely, completing 17 of 26 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns with 16.5 PPR fantasy points.

Purdy has been the QB10 overall in fantasy scoring and the 13th in per-game average (17.8) since Week 13, despite recording zero rushing yards and being without Deebo Samuel for more efficient passing attempts.

Despite his low passing volume (204 yards per game), Purdy has three straight multi-touchdown games and six in a row (T-third most). Purdy is less of a sleeper in Week 16 than a higher-end QB2.

2. Russell Wilson

UPDATE: Wilson (concussion) is not listed on the Week 16 injury report for the Rams game on Sunday.

Russell Wilson is coming off his best game of the season, a Week 14 performance against the Chiefs in which he threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns and gained 57 yards on the ground to finish as the QB3.

Wilson was held out of Week 15 despite clearing concussion protocol and is expected to play in a rematch with Kansas City on Christmas Eve. Since Week 11, the Chiefs have ranked 21st in DVOA, EPA, and points per game (21.59 PPR). We’ll have to wait and see who is available at receiver for Denver, but Wilson is a sleeper to keep an eye on in Week 16.

3. Zack Moss

UPDATE: With Jonathan Taylor (ankle) on injured reserve, coach Jeff Saturday stated that the Colts intend to rotate between Moss and Deon Jackson when they face the Chargers on Monday, according to James Boyd of The Athletic.

Week 15 was a nightmare for some fantasy managers, particularly those who had Jonathan Taylor. Taylor was injured on his first carry of the game and was quickly ruled out, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapaport, with a high ankle sprain.

While not yet official, I expect the Colts to bench Taylor for the season, given their 4-9-1 record, which included the largest blown lead in NFL history.

If you lost Taylor and the waiver wire is thin, Moss is a likely sleeper option in Week 16 with games against the Chargers, Giants, and Texans still to come. Jackson should be considered in deeper leagues or if you miss out on Moss, as I don’t see this backfield being set in stone just yet.

4. Chuba Hubbard

Last week, Chuba Hubbard dominated snaps over D’Onta Foreman in an unexpected turn of events. Despite only gaining 10 yards on four carries, Hubbard caught three passes for 57 yards while seeing 100% of the short yardage, third down, and two-minute drill snaps.

Even more intriguing, his 16 early down snaps were the most on the team, indicating the possibility of more carriers in the future. The upcoming games against Detroit and Tampa Bay are fine. Hubbard, who has RB9 and RB34 finishes in his last two games, is not only a sleeper worth rostering in Week 16, but he could be the lead back.
