A new leak from a reliable source claims to reveal the release date for Call of Duty 2023, as well as when it will be made public.

Call of Duty 2023 leaks – Release date & details

Tom Henderson’s latest report provides more information on Call of Duty 2023, which is expected to be developed by Sledgehammer Games.

Activision is expected to reveal the game in August, with August 1st penciled in as the tentative reveal date, according to the report. The reveal will take place within Call of Duty: Warzone 2, as it did with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard.

Following that, the report states that a beta will be held in October, and the new entry will receive another campaign early access period, continuing a trend begun by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 last year. The game will then be released on November 10th. A new zombies mode is also expected to be included in this year’s game.

It appears that Call of Duty will have an unusual year this year. Historically, the series has been announced in May or June, just in time for major summer gaming events such as Summer Games Fest. Now, it appears that they will postpone a more concentrated marketing effort until closer to launch.

Fans should always take leaks with a grain of salt, but Henderson has previously accurately leaked plenty of Call of Duty news, so there’s no reason to doubt him now. If the new Call of Duty game isn’t announced until August, fans will learn about it just a few months before its official release date. This approach has advantages and disadvantages, but it should mean that fans won’t have to wait too long after the reveal to participate in a beta.
