Update Injury for New York Knicks – Miami Heat

The New York Knicks return home for Game 5, which will be an elimination game. The Knicks are down 3-1 after dropping game 4 109-101 in Miami on Monday.

They put up a strong showing on Monday, led by Jalen Brunson’s 32 points and 11 assists.

RJ Barrett contributed 24 points, while Julius Randle had 20 points and 9 rebounds.

Brunson led all players in scoring and assists in Monday’s Game 4, while also connecting on team-high shooting marks from the field and free throw line in a losing effort.

Brunson’s assist total topped double digits for the first time this playoffs, and he has scored 30 or more points in two of his previous three games.

Regarding the injury, Quickly injured his ankle in Game 4 and is listed as questionable for Game 5.

Quickley sprained his left ankle in Game 3 and will most likely miss at least one more game.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat are one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference finals.

For a team that had to compete in the play-in series and was ranked eighth at the time. It is quite impressive that they lost one of their greatest players, Tyler Herro, in the first playoff game against the top seeded Bucks.

But the effort isn’t done because they still need one more victory to proceed.

On Monday night, they held off a Knicks charge and won, thanks to strong performances from Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

Butler finished with 27 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds, while Adebayo scored 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Butler (ankle) is questionable for Game 5 in New York on Wednesday.

Despite the dubious designation, the All-Star forward is expected to play again on Wednesday, though his official availability is unlikely to be confirmed until closer to the 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff.
