Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Ja Morant play Wednesday? Injury Report Lakers – Grizzlies

The Los Angeles Lakers won Game 1 of their best-of-seven series against the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies on the road in Memphis on Sunday, taking an early 1-0 series lead.

Now, on Wednesday night in Memphis, game two is a must win for the Grizzlies. The Fedex Forum in Memphis will host the opening tip at 7:30 p.m. EDT.

Injury Update Los Angeles Lakers – Memphis Grizzlies

The Los Angeles Lakers took command of the series by winning game one on the road. They got big performances from their key players.

LeBron James had 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Anthony Davis had 22 points and 12 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell contributed 19 points and 7 assists.

Davis was injured during the game and had to leave for a few minutes, but he returned to the game in the second half.

Davis is listed as probable for Game 2 against the Grizzlies due to a right foot stress injury, according to Harrison Faigen of SBNation.com.

Davis is essentially given the go-ahead to suit up without saying anything. The fact that his shoulder isn’t listed as an issue on the report is also encouraging, as he was forced to leave Game 1 due to a “stinger.”

All indications are that Davis will take the court and play his usual role as the Lakers look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead in Memphis.

Meanwhile, LeBron James is listed as probable for Game 2 against the Grizzlies due to right foot soreness, according to Harrison Faigen of SBNation.com.

For much of the season, the Lakers have been liberal with their injury designations, so there’s nothing to worry about with James ahead of Game 2.

He’s coming off a double-double and a balanced stat line in the Lakers’ playoff opener against Memphis and will look to lead the Lakers to a 2-0 series lead on Wednesday.

Not only are the Grizzlies up against a resurgent Lakers team but they may be doing so without their best player, Ja Morant.

The Grizzlies were defeated at home by the Lakers in game one, 128-112. They went into that game with some injury concerns, and they left with even more.

Morant injured his wrist late in the game on Sunday when he landed incorrectly after taking the ball to the hole.

Morant did not return to the game, missing nearly the final 6 minutes of what had been a close game that had turned into an easy Lakers win.

Morant had 18 points when he was taken out of the game.

His availability for Wednesday is uncertain.

This is obviously a significant factor in game 2. It doesn’t help that two of their best big men, Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke, are injured.
