This Hogwarts Legacy task, as the name implies, requires you to investigate the area outside the tower for evidence of goblin presence. Our guide will show you exactly where to look for that evidence so you can begin your trial.
How to investigate the goblin presence in Hogwarts Legacy
When you arrive at the tower with Professor Fig, he will instruct you to take the stealthy approach with all of the Rankrok Goblins ahead of you. You can take his advice or simply attack all of the enemies with your combat spells. In any case, they must be removed before moving on to the next section.
Now that the Goblins have been eliminated, we can search for signs of Ranrok. A purple circle will appear on the minimap at the location where Goblins have been spotted. Looking toward the southeastern corner of that circle, you’ll notice a tent-like structure next to the ruins.
Take a look at the table inside the tent, to the left of the door. There’s a note on that table that will help you investigate the Goblin Presence. After reading Ranrok’s note, this section of Percival Rackham’s Trial quest is complete. You can now enter the tower and begin the true Trial.
