5 Celebrities Who’ve Been Through Hard Divorces

Divorce is never easy no matter what the circumstance and deciding to end a marriage can only be tough to go through. These 5 celebrities have all opened up on the struggle they’ve personally experienced as they separated from their other half. Finding it difficult to adjust to, these stars each had their own way of coping or just worked through the split to find a new life for themselves gradually. Here is what they’ve said about their hard time going through a divorce.

Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny says her divorce was the hardest thing she’s been through so far in her life: “It’s rough. I have to say, divorce is the most difficult thing you could ever go through in your entire life.”

Brian McKnight

Brian turned to music to help him through his split: “Every single song on that album is a chapter of my life from the last year and a half. I can tell you what I was recording during the period of separation, during the divorce. I found it very difficult to come home from the road to an empty house, and I used the music as therapy – for me that was better than crying all night.”

Jerry Hall

Jerry found her divorce from Mick Jagger to be very difficult: “I thought it was his circumstances that made all these women throw themselves at him and he would outgrow it. He would mature. He didn’t. It’s difficult to divorce your husband if you come from a poor background and your husband is rich and famous and you have this fabulous life with all these houses. It’s hard to give up. But, in the end, it was better for my health and my children’s health.”

Paulina Rubio

Paulina’s divorce has been dragged out and she says it has been hard: “I’m going to talk to you about this because we are friends. I’m not divorced yet. It’s been hard to struggle for so long to sign the papers. It’s been hard for the baby, but hopefully things will be more quiet and more in balance.”

Will Arnett

Will hit the gym during his divorce to distract himself: “If going to the gym obsessively for eight, nine months was my way of dealing, then let that be my worst problem. Life is challenging… All people have been doing since the dawn of time is trying to figure out how to live this life and be happy. I’m no different. I’m 43, and I’ve found my happiness – which is my kids.”
