5 Celebrities Who Love Makeup

These stars all love getting dolled up, even if they aren’t about to hit the red carpet. They love how you can transform yourself with just the right kind of makeup, and so won’t stop piling it on, even if they are asked to! Emma Watson admits she is totally addicted to makeup, while Jessica Lowndes says she realizes less is more after wearing way too much bronzer after she first discovered the product.

Dita Von Teese

Dita Von Teese says that when she has the time, she loves to do her makeup properly, and spends ages getting ready: “One of the things that I do to have a glamorous day is take a bit of time to put on make-up and chose clothes that I like to wear – it doesn’t mean being uncomfortable, I don’t wear corsets or stockings every day but a little bit of red lipstick goes a long way. Have a good vanity place to do your makeup and a place with good lighting – natural light is the best. Also, always have enough extra time so you’re not rushing to get ready. The more often you do it, the better – practice makes perfect. If I don’t do my eyeliner for a week or so I’m not so good at it.”

Sofia Vergara

Sofia says she feels naked if she isn’t wearing lipstick, and even made sure to put some on before giving birth: “If I walk outside without lipstick, I feel naked, all the women in my family are that way. We put makeup on to give birth! When I started feeling contractions with my son, the first thing I did was wash and blow-dry my hair before I went to the hospital. You never know how long you’ll be in labor. It could be days until you’re able to take a shower.”

Jessica Lowndes

Jessica Lowndes says that she loves makeup and when she discovered bronzer she went overboard: “When I discovered bronzer in 10th grade, I kind of went to town — I looked like an Oompa-Loompa! But my mother taught me less is more.”

Kim Kardashian

Kim and her sisters are often told to tone down their makeup, but they love applying it: “We had like publicists and people who would tell us, ‘Girls, tone it down. Stop wearing all the makeup, but then we would read on our blogs—like in the comments and everything—and everyone was like, ‘What lipstick is this, what mascara do you use?’ We were like, ‘We love makeup—so why try and be what we are not?’”

Emma Watson

Emma Watson loves the way makeup can transform: “The funny thing about me is that I do have a lot of products – I’ve always loved make-up and its ability to transform you. But I don’t actually wear a lot of it, so there is an irony that I own so much of it but wear so little. But I do love beauty products.”
