Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Guide – Finding Thundra Plateau cave & Mask of Awakening armor

The Thundara Plateau cave can be found near the plateau’s center, which is southwest of the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower, at the northwest end of Ludfo’s Bog. However, there appears to be no obvious way in.

This cave can only be entered at specific times of day and only if a shadow is cast over a specific point. Only then will you have a chance to enter the cave and win the prize inside.

To create shadow, it is best to use a long column log. So, bring an ax or three with you to the cave. When you arrive, use your ax to cut down the mushroom trees, resulting in a series of logs. Using your Ultrahand ability, connect them end to end.

When you’ve finished building your log, use the Ultrahand ability to grab one end of it. Stand in the shadow of the south pillar, which stretches to the north at that time of day, shortly after noon. Lift your log structure vertically to extend the shadow and connect it to the shadow cast by the north pillar. The cave will be opened.

All that remains is for you to enter the cave and open the chest within to obtain the Mask of Awakening armor.

With that, this Zeld: Tears of the Kingdom guide has come to a close.
