Despite the patch fix, it appears that the dupe glitch can still be performed in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which we will demonstrate now.

Unlike most always-connected games, Nintendo doesn’t require you to connect to servers to play most of their games, nor do they require patches before you can start them. As a result, you can simply ignore this patch and continue to use an unpatched version of all the old item dupe glitches for as long as you want.

You can accomplish this by going to System Settings, then to the System tab, and turning Off Auto Updates.

This allows you to stay on patch 1.1.1 indefinitely rather than updating to Nintendo’s latest version. The only reason you’d have to upgrade is if there’s a game-breaking bug that Nintendo needs to fix later, or if Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gets new DLC that requires you to download it.

There were several bugs that allowed you to duplicate items. One that required you to drop a bow, pause and unpause, and allow materials to fall duped and un-fused. There was also one involving your paraglider, which was said to be faster than the others. Finally, in one, players use manual saves to drop weapons and shields that they want to duplicate. I believe all of these have been patched, but you can still try them.
