Warhammer 40K: Darktide – How to Complete the Friends Will Be Friends Penance and the One in the Chamber Penance

The majority of the penance in Warhammer 40K: Darktide are extremely difficult, especially when the description does not provide enough information on how to complete them. If you’re having trouble with the Friends Will Be Friends Penance or the One in the Chamber Penance, check out our Warhammer 40K: Darktide guide for all the information you need.

How to Finish Friends Will Be Friends in DarktideDarktide Friends Will Be Friends

Friends Will Be Friends is a penance available only to the Ogryn Skullbreaker. To finish it, you must maintain coherence with all living teammates throughout a mission with a malice threat or higher. It may appear simple at first, but you will quickly realize how easy it is to become separated from your team, which is why we strongly advise you to join a group on the Darktide Discord server or gather a group of three other players to assist you.

Also, try to avoid using your Bull Rush as much as possible. Instead, use it on Ogryn-level enemies to trample them for your team.

Your weapon choice has no bearing on your build. We recommend the Battle Maul and Slab Shield at the very least because they are easily the Ogryn’s best melee weapons in the game. As for feats, they mostly don’t matter except for one very key feat at level 15, Towering Presence. This increases your Coherency radius by 50% and greatly reduces the possibility of you leaving it accidentally.

That’s all there is to it. The majority of the challenge should be yours if you have good teamwork and stick together. Just keep an eye out for pesky Bombers who try to split up your group.

How to Finish One in the Chamber in Darktide

Quite similar to the Deadeye penance, this penance requires you to kill 5 enemies with the last round in your clip during a single Malice Threat or higher Mission. To finish it, you’ll need your Veteran Sharpshooter to be at the highest level possible before attempting this. The more damage you can deal, the better your chances of success.

When you’re ready, you’ll need a weapon that can kill five enemies with a single shot. The combat shotgun is without a doubt the best weapon for this task. This is primarily due to a trick you can perform with its special action, though it will require some practice in the Meat Grinder.

Fire the shotgun until the magazine is empty. Then, after firing the final round, press the special action button quickly. You should only reload one bullet into the weapon’s magazine if you do it correctly. Locate a small crowd of enemies, aim at the head level into the center of the crowd, activate Volley Fire, and fire. If done correctly and at a close enough range, this will kill a few enemies and earn you the One in the Chamber penance.

While not the most difficult penance in Darktide, One in the Chamber requires extensive knowledge of the game and its systems. Hopefully, your other penances will not cause you this much trouble.
