Warhammer 40K: Darktide – How to Complete the Deadeye & Just a Flesh Wound Penances

There are numerous penances in Warhammer 40K: Darktide. They’re not only shining points that contribute to the game’s interest, but they also provide players with a headage with their harshness. In this Warhammer 40K: Darktide guide, we’ll help you complete two of them: Deadeye Penance and Just a Flesh Wound Penance.

How to Finish Deadeye in Warhammer 40K: DarktideWarhammer 40K: Darktide Deadeye

This penance requires you to kill 5 different highlighted enemies in a single use of Volley Fire, landing only weak spot hits while using your weapon’s secondary action on Heresy, the fourth difficulty. It is recommended that you wait until you reach level 30 before attempting to complete this penance because any of the level 30 Sharpshooter feats refresh the cooldown of your Volley Fire, making the challenge easier.

You’ll also need a weapon that can consistently hit enemy weak points. The Lasguns is our preferred option. When it comes to Lasguns, you have two options. Due to their semi-automatic nature, any of the Infantry Lasguns are tried and true methods for taking down enemy combatants. The Helbore Lasguns are another excellent choice, thanks in part to their charged shot, which makes them an excellent sniper. It’ll all come down to personal preference and which weapon you want to use.

In terms of feats, we believe the following feats best complement attempting the Deadeye penance:

  • Level 5: At Arm’s Length
  • Level 10: Sniper
  • Level 15: Covering Fire
  • Level 20: Camo Expert
  • Level 25: Deadshot/One After Another
  • Level 30: Counterfire

This provides a significant amount of support damage to you and your Volley Fire. Because Deadshot has a high skill floor, the level 25 feat is adaptable. If you can master it, it can be a lifesaver, though One After Another is also a solid option. Counterfire is the clear choice at level 30, with the other two feats simply not being good for this situation.

How to Finish Just a Flesh Wound in Warhammer 40K: Darktide

To complete this penance, you must complete a mission on Heresy or higher in under 10 minutes while carrying one wound for 75% of the time. This also implies that you cannot die, or else the time spent with less than one wound will not be counted. To attempt this legitimately, you’d need a perfectly crafted build that doesn’t provide healing and an excellent weapon set, plus you’d need to be extremely skilled at Zealot to have a chance.

It is not necessary for you to complete the mission successfully. If you can get into a mission by yourself, you can have the bots die, get yourself low, and then simply stay in one place for 75% of the mission time. Then kill yourself and accept the challenge. This is, of course, quite cheesy, but it will suffice.

If you’re brave enough to go for it legally, we recommend using your best weapons and feats that increase your damage at low health, such as Retribution at level 10 and Honour the Martyr at level 25. At level 20, you should never choose Faith Restores All or Holy Revenant, as both of these perks will harm you more than help you.
