‘The queen of Instagram’ | Selena Gomez has surpassed Kylie Jenner to reclaim the title of most followed woman on Instagram

The ex-Disney star has 381 million Instagram followers, surpassing Kylie Jenner‘s 380 million.

Selena Gomez is once again the most followed woman on Instagram

Selena was the most followed woman on the site in 2019, but Ariana Grande beat her to the top spot. Kylie then passed both of them and became the most followed woman on the site.

Many of Selena’s admirers are overjoyed by the news and have crowned her ‘the queen of Instagram.’

The user tweeted: ‘Selena Gomez is once again the most followed woman on Instagram. Queen is back!’

Selena Gomez, who has millions of fans, recently told Vanity Fair that she uses only the TikTok app on her phone.

The actress went on to say that the ‘mean’ comments made by trolls hurt her feelings and that she found spending too much time on social media to be a waste of her time.

This is what she remarked on:

‘People can call me ugly or stupid and I’m like, Whatever. But these people get detailed. They write paragraphs that are so specific and mean. I would constantly be crying. I constantly had anxiety…I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a waste of my time.’

‘There are wonderful things about social media—connecting with fans, seeing how happy and excited they are and their stories.

‘But usually that’s filtered through [for me now]. I created a system. Everything I do I send to my assistant who posts them. As far as comments, my team will put together a few things that are encouraging.’

She has now created a ‘system’ where she has an assistant serve as a barrier between her and the comments by posting on her behalf.

‘I never got the chance to go to an actual high school. The world was my high school for the longest time, and I started getting inundated with information that I didn’t want,’ she explained.

‘I went through a hard time in a breakup and I didn’t want to see any of the [feedback]—not necessarily about the relationship, but the opinions of me versus [someone] else. There’d be thousands of really nice comments, but my mind goes straight to the mean one.

‘The only thing I have on my phone is TikTok because I find it to be a little less hostile. There are wonderful things about social media—connecting with fans, seeing how happy and excited they are and their stories.
