Pokemon Go Buzzwole Raid Guide

Where to Find Buzzwole

Until January 10, 2024, you can challenge Buzzwole in 5-Star Raids throughout The Americas and Greenland. If you’re outside of these regions, you can still participate in Buzzwole Raids remotely by receiving an invite from a friend. Additionally, you can trade for a Buzzwole with a friend who has already caught one.

Buzzwole Moves

Knowing Buzzwole’s moveset can help you anticipate its attacks and plan your strategy accordingly. Here’s a list of all its moves:

  • Fast Moves: Poison Jab, Counter
  • Charged Moves: Lunge, Superpower, Fell Stinger, Power-Up Punch

Buzzwole’s Weaknesses

Buzzwole may be powerful, but it has its Achilles’ heels. Here are its weaknesses:

  • Fire
  • Flying
  • Psychic
  • Fairy

Flying-type moves are especially super effective against Buzzwole, making Pokemon like Mega Rayquaza, Yveltal, Shadow Moltres, and Rayquaza excellent choices for your Raid team. Windy weather further boosts Flying-type moves, so keep an eye out for those conditions!

Best Counters

While Mega Rayquaza with Air Slash and Dragon Ascent is the ultimate counter for Buzzwole Raids, it’s always good to have a backup plan. Here are some other fantastic options:

  • Yveltal: This Dark/Flying-type Legendary Pokemon deals heavy damage with Gust and Oblivion Wind, especially during windy weather.
  • Shadow Moltres: Boasting a type advantage and boosted damage, Shadow Moltres with Wing Attack and Sky Attack is a powerhouse against Buzzwole.
  • Rayquaza: If you don’t have Mega Rayquaza, the regular Rayquaza with Air Slash and Hurricane can still pack a punch. Remember, Hurricane is a Legacy move, so you’ll need an Elite Charged TM to teach it to your Rayquaza.
  • Other Great Options: Mega Pidgeot, Staraptor, Braviary, and Lugia are all solid choices for your Buzzwole Raid team.

Can Buzzwole Be Shiny?

Unfortunately, shiny Buzzwole is not yet available in Pokemon Go. The only two shiny Ultra Beasts currently in the game are Guzzlord and Nihilego. But fear not, trainers! Niantic might release shiny Buzzwole in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.

With the right preparation and Pokemon, you can conquer Buzzwole Raids and add this formidable Ultra Beast to your collection. So, gather your team, choose your counters, and get ready for an epic battle!
