How to Catch All New Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk DLC

Unlocking the Paradox Path

The journey to Paradox Pokémon begins with , the photographer, found near the entrance to Blueberry Academy’s Terarium in the Savanna Biome. Prepare for a marathon quest, as Perrin requires you to capture 200 of the 240 available Pokémon in the Blueberry Pokédex.

To conquer this colossal task, efficiency is key. We recommend bringing a stockpile of Quick Balls. If you miss capturing a Pokémon, simply run from the battle and reinitiate it – with Quick Balls, persistence is often rewarded!

Once you’ve caught 160 Pokémon, you’ll need to boost the biodiversity of each biome. This involves paying 3000 BP per biome in the Blueberry League Club Room. Then, catch most of the six Starters in each area (24 total) and evolve them to reach the 200 mark. Exp. Candies and auto-battling can significantly speed up this process.

With 200 Pokémon registered, return to Perrin. She’ll reveal the locations of Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt (Scarlet) or Iron Boulder and Iron Crown (Violet) in Area Zero, the enigmatic heart of Paldea.

Finding the Paradox Pokémon

Perrin’s photos offer clues, but pinpointing these Paradox Pokémon requires keen exploration. Here’s where to find them:

Pokémon Scarlet

  • Gouging Fire: Climb atop the waterfall across from the Area Zero entrance.
  • Raging Bolt: Head right from Research Station 3 until you find a shallow river. Turn right again and follow the river – Raging Bolt hides near the waterfall at the end.

Pokémon Violet

  • Iron Boulder: Locate the collapsed plateau of rock and river shown in Perrin’s photo. Iron Boulder stands guard behind these collapsed rocks.
  • Iron Crown: Don’t be fooled by the Research Station 1 view! Iron Crown actually lurks within a large cliff face gap just below the Area Zero entrance.

These Paradox Pokémon boast high catch rates, so relax and bring your preferred Poké Balls. Don’t fret if you accidentally knock one out – they respawn after 15-30 minutes of in-game time.

With this guide and a determined spirit, you’ll be well on your way to capturing and befriending these incredible Paradox Pokémon, adding a touch of prehistoric or futuristic power to your Scarlet or Violet team! Remember, trainers, the journey is just as thrilling as the destination – enjoy the chase!
