Just in case you needed more evidence that Kevin Spacey is the coolest dude on the planet – here it is. He’s adopted an adorable boxer mix puppy and named her ‘Boston’ after the city. The actor posed several snaps of himself cuddling and playing with Boston Spacey which he showed off via twitter. He wrote on his feed that he had a new member of the family which was adopted from the North Shore Animal League America:
“New member of the family, her name is Boston in honor of the city.”
The actor recently visited many of the victims who were left injured following the recent tragic Boston marathon bombings and also spoke with many first responders who were on the scene. He says he did so not because he thought he might help put a smile on someone’s face so felt it would be worth his while. He commented that when he heard the news he:
“had to get on a plane, I’m not a doctor or first responder, but if people know me from movies, and walking into their work space or room brings a smile to their face – with the challenges these amazing citizens have in front of them – then that’s worth coming.”
He complimented those he met and said they made him feel proud:
“The cops, nurses, doctors, hospital staff and patients that I have met over the past few days have given me the greatest feeling of pride in being an American and made me understand that we are all Boston.”
