Origin Story

Ramattra was one of many Omnics who went rogue during The Omnic Crisis and sought to end human life and rule the entire planet. During this journey, however, Ramattra attained sentience and followed the path of peace and transcendence. He was led down this path to enlightenment, but even after achieving peace, humans and robots were unable to coexist.Overwatch 2 Ramattra Release DateThis impasse caused terror and multiple Omnic deaths, instilling in Ramattra a hatred for humans. He vowed to make the Null Sector a home for Omnics, even if it meant destroying cities and killing humans in the process.

Abilities

Blizzard Entertainment has only revealed a few details about Ramattra’s ability set in Overwatch 2. We only know for now that Ramattra is a Tanky hero with two combat forms: Omnic and Nemesis. Both combat forms are slightly different, with the hero having the ability to protect his team with barriers while also smashing down the enemy’s backline.

In his standard Omnic form, Ramattra fights with a staff that fires projectiles and can create a barrier to protect his team. When Ramattra hulks out, he transforms into a massive brawler capable of devastating melee attacks that will terrorize the opposing team’s “squishies.”Overwatch developers described Ramattra’s transformation as “scary” and “menacing,” transforming him from a fairly standard-sized hero to one of the game’s largest. That transformation increases his lethality, but it also makes him a much more vulnerable target for attacks like Ana’s sleep dart or Zenyatta’s orb of discord.

Although Blizzard didn’t reveal much about Ramattra’s ability set, it’s safe to assume the hero will work in a similar manner to Doomfist and Orisa.
