New mum-of-two Ashley James admits she’s feeling ‘vulnerable postpartum’

Ashley James gave birth to their second child with her partner of 4.5 years, Tommy Andrews.

Former reality star showed baby meeting her grandparents and two-year-old brother in clips.

She also revealed that she felt “vulnerable” after giving birth by posting a series of topless mirror pictures.

She wrote: ‘March 2023 – the month I never wanted to end’.

‘I think I can safely say this has been the happiest month of my life. I’ve had some amazing moments in life, but I’ve never been good at stopping and living fully in the present’.

She continued: ‘I’m usually always thinking ahead or overthinking. This month I really slowed down and switched off and kept my world really small and just lived in the moment’.

‘I had such a sense of wanting time to stand still. Wanting to savour every smell and enjoy that period of newborn life when your everyday life just sort of pauses’.

Before saying: ‘At the same time of feeling immense gratitude and happiness, I also feel so vulnerable. I think that’s why I’ve given myself a proper break. The only way I can describe how I feel is like this: It feels like my happiness is made of glass and it could shatter at any moment if I think too much’.

‘About the challenges ahead, about work, about opinions, about my self esteem – so for now, I’ve just been focusing on being a mum. On my family. On my amazing friends. On getting to be a mama outside of lockdown. And it’s been wonderful’.

She went on:There’s so much to tell you, but for now, here are a few of my highlights from the month I never wanted to end. I’m glad I got to end it as I mean to go forward… With lots of adventures’.

‘I’m waiting for Alf and Tommy to get off their flight to join us so we can enjoy my birthday weekend as a family of 4’

Before adding: ‘Now hopefully April is full of sunshine and positive energy for us all’.
