Modern Warfare 3: Preorder Options

You have two editions to choose from: the standard $70 edition and the Vault edition, which comes with a treasure trove of extras. Preordering Modern Warfare 3 brings perks like early access to the beta and seven days of early access to the campaign.

Perks and Minimap Changes

The classic minimap is making a comeback in Modern Warfare 3. Players can now spot red dots when enemies fire unsuppressed weapons, harkening back to the older Call of Duty titles.

A classic perk system returns, with perks now based on wearable gear categories like gloves, tactical vests, and boots. These categories offer unique perks to adjust weapon handling, equipment, and player mobility.

Zombies

This isn’t your typical round-based Zombies experience; instead, it’s an open-world survival mode with PvE extraction elements. Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is set on Warzone’s brand-new Urzikstan map, supporting solo or squad play with up to eight squads of three players. The mode retains classic Zombies features like the mystery box, perk machines, Pack-a-Punch, and introduces a new Wonder Weapon.

Multiplayer Maps and Modes

In a nod to nostalgia, Modern Warfare 3 will feature all 16 maps from 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, updated with new gameplay features and modes.

These maps include beloved locations like Afghan, Favela, and Terminal. Beyond that, the game will introduce over 12 new core 6v6 maps during post-launch seasons, as well as specific battle maps for large-scale Ground War modes and a colossal-size map for the objective-based War mode

Map voting is also confirmed to return, so players will have more choice in the maps they play each match.

The narrative centers around Vladimir Makarov, a central antagonist in the original Modern Warfare franchise. Massive Weapon Pool and Gunsmith

Modern Warfare 3 introduces the new Warzone map, Urzikstan, an urban battleground featuring 11 major points of interest. This map is playable in both battle royale and Plunder modes, alongside Warzone’s existing Vondel and Ashika Island Resurgence maps. In 2024, players can look forward to the arrival of Warzone Ranked and two additional maps, Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island.

MW2 Content Carries Over

For the first time in Call of Duty history, players can carry over weapons, operators, camos, and more from Modern Warfare 2 into Modern Warfare 3. Activision has outlined its “Carry Forward” content plan, offering continuity and a seamless experience for players across the two games.
