A half-slicked-back hairstyle that would not look out of place on the fashionable streets of Paris is what Love Island 2021-star Liberty Poole is channeling for her character Camille (played by actress Camille Razat).

Since Camille wore it to her engagement dinner in episode ten, it has become so popular that the video-sharing platform TikTok is currently flooded with how-to guides for replicating the look.

Obviously, we can’t assume that Liberty herself followed one of these, but we do wonder if her hairstylist Murray Owens was inspired by Camille’s looks.

The fringe is pinned or tied back so it lies flat against the head, and the rest of the hair is straightened and used to conceal the pins.

Earlier today, Liberty uploaded a close-up of her hair to her Instagram with the caption: “I’m seriously unserious.”

Fans have yet to make the connection between Liberty and Camille, but many have been quick to compliment the former waitress on her stunning new do.

Somebody mentioned how Liberty’s hair color has changed from a peroxide blonde to a darker, ashier hue, and that got my attention: “I love the darker hair for you makes your eyes pop.”

One more says: “Not over your hair like this,” while a third writes: “This look on you is perfect!”

This fashion must be simple to imitate, right? The hardest part is maintaining the smoothness of the front sections and eliminating any signs of flyaways. TikTok suggests an alternative to pinning front sections of long hair behind the ears with bobby pins: tying them back at the nape of the neck with an elastic band. This allows for a more secure ponytail, which in turn creates a more permanent and sleek appearance. However, if your hair is short or you have curtain bangs, you will need to use bobby pins instead of this method because the front sections won’t be long enough to reach the back of your head.

Emily in Paris has always been fashion-forward, but we love how the third season has shifted its focus to hair and makeup.

We already can’t wait for season four to teach us more beauty lessons after Camille became our hair guru, Emily gave us all the lipstick inspiration we could want, and Mindy taught us that it’s always okay to go full-out with eye make-up.
