The Texans injury reports

Dameon Pierce (ankle) will miss the Chiefs game on Sunday.

In terms of rookie running back injuries in the NFL, Dameon Pierce was released by the Houston Texans after injuring his ankle against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Texans face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15 at 1 p.m. ET, an early game that will help fantasy managers decide which running back path to take.

Based on Lovie Smith’s post-game comments, we’ll consider Pierce questionable to face the Kansas City Chiefs.

Steven Nelson will miss Week 15’s game against his former team due to a foot injury. Taylor Stallworth, who is out with a calf injury, will have the same gig.

Kenyon Green, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, did not practice on Friday after two limited practices earlier in the week. He will not appear in Week 15.

The Chiefs injury reports

Expect Kadarius Toney to miss another week with another limited practice on Friday. A full practice would have increased the likelihood that he would be available and active.

Chris Jones was unable to play due to illness, but he will be on the team’s practice squad tomorrow. If they bring up Danny Shelton, you’ll know he’s not going to play.

Mecole Hardman’s activation ahead of Sunday’s game will be a stretch. While he’s eager to get back out there, it appears that the Chiefs want to ease him back in. If everything goes well in practice next week, he could be back on the field on Christmas Eve against the Seahawks.
