In the vast world of N’erud in Remnant 2, players will encounter formidable world bosses, and one of the most imposing ones is Tal Ratha, a giant abomination found in the Forgotten Prison area. Here’s how to find and defeat Ratha in both forms.

Finding Tal Ratha

To locate Tal Ratha, venture into the Forgotten Prison in the world of N’Erud. This isolated area is devoid of normal enemies and NPCs, with the boss being the sole occupant. As you approach the boss, a crucial dialogue will initiate. At the end of the conversation, Tal Ratha will offer to merge your consciousness with his people.

If you accept his proposal, you’ll have to face him in his metaphysical state, which is marginally harder than the normal state. However, it’s still less daunting compared to some of the more formidable bosses you’ll encounter later. On the other hand, if you decline his offer, the boss fight will occur in a normal state.

Defeating Tal Ratha

Depending on your choice, you’ll face Tal Ratha in only one form. Both boss fights are straightforward, so let’s go through each of them.

Normal State

This version of Tal Ratha is considered a little easier than the Metaphysical version, as his attacks are well-telegraphed. He’ll launch melee attacks immediately after you reject his offer, and he might summon a few minions, but they can be swiftly dealt with.

His attacks include a charging move where he runs at you with high speed, surprising players with his agility despite his size. Additionally, Tal Ratha can suck air from his mouth to pull you towards him and unleash projectile attacks in the form of vomit and homing orbs.

To deal critical damage, aim for the inside of Tal Ratha’s mouth. With a giant mouth as the target, even players with shaky aim should find it fairly easy.

Metaphysical State

This version of Tal Ratha is encountered if you accept his offer. In this form, he relies heavily on projectile attacks, keeping you on your toes throughout the fight. Aim for his head to deal critical damage.

Tal Ratha boasts a large beam attack with a slow startup, but it can be easily dodged by moving left or right. He can also teleport to execute one of two different attacks: a ground slam with area-of-effect damage or a melee combo if he teleports straight to you. By staying mobile, you can avoid both of these moves.
