Diaz continued to speak her lines and present the award even after Isaak grabbed her wrist. She told the audience that the kisses nominated for the award occurred “at the director’s request,” implying that Isaak’s advances were not welcome.
As Diaz continued to lean away from him, Isaak said, “Excuse me,” stepped in front of her, and kissed her forcibly. Then he made the embarrassing remark, “I knew you’d come around.”

So, Carrey took advantage of the situation to exact vengeance on the singer. The Mask star embraced Isaak as he walked onto the stage to accept the award.
Although there is no footage of Carrey kissing the singer, it appears he did. As Carrey walks away, an agitated Isaak turns and wipes his mouth.
Fans have speculated that Carrey planted a smooch in retaliation for Isaak’s unwanted kiss since the video resurfaced.
