Hawks vs. Knicks Injuries: Trae Young and Julius Randle keep shining?

On Wednesday, the New York Knicks (32–27) will go to Atlanta to play the Atlanta Hawks (29–29). The game will start in the State Farm Arena at 7:30 PM EDT.

This is the fourth and last time these two teams will play each other during the regular season. The Hawks won the last match, 139-124.

Injury Reports Atlanta Hawks – New York Knicks

The Knicks are seventh in the Eastern Conference and are ahead of the Hawks by 2 1/2 games. But Atlanta has won two of three games against the Knicks this season, and a win against New York would give Atlanta the tiebreaker. If the Knicks beat the Hawks, it would put more distance between them and help them avoid the play-in tournament.

The New York Knicks won 124-106 against the Brooklyn Nets in their last game. They played well on both ends of the court. If they want to beat the Hawks on the road, they will have to keep playing well.

In addition to All-Star Julius Randle’s great play (24.7 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game), the Knicks continue to get great play from Jalen Brunson (23.9 points, 6.2 assists). Brunson, who isn’t an All-Star, scored 40 points when his team beat Brooklyn.

Julius Randle has totaled 66 points and 26 rebounds in the last two meetings with the Atlanta Hawks.

Injury Report Knicks: Mitchell Robinson C (Thumb) is out.

Mitchell Robinson is expected to miss the All-Star break and a few games to start the Knicks’ second-half schedule after undergoing surgery on January 19 to repair a broken right thumb.

Before this game, the Atlanta Hawks lost to the Charlotte Hornets by a score of 144-138. They were terrible on defense, and they’ll need to make more stops in this game if they want to win at home.

Trae Young (shoulder) played all 35 minutes of Monday’s 144-138 loss to the Hornets and finished with 25 points (7-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 9-9 FT), 14 assists, two rebounds, and two steals.

Young was listed as probable for Monday’s game as he continues to deal with a sore shoulder, but that hasn’t stopped him from racking up big numbers in recent games.

In those four games, he averaged 25.3 points, 14.8 assists, and 43.5 percent shooting from the field, 39.3 percent from deep, and 96.8 percent from the charity stripe.

Injury Report Hawks: John Collins PF (Hip) and De’Andre Hunter (ankle) are questionable.

Hunter could play against the Knicks on Wednesday, but his right ankle is hurting.

Hunter’s ankle hurts after he scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds against the Hornets on Monday, but it doesn’t look like he will miss Wednesday’s game.

The forward has played in nine straight games, and in 33.2 minutes, he averages 15.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals.

Collins (hip) might not be able to play. He missed Monday’s loss to the Hornets, 144-138, because of soreness in his left hip flexor, which could also keep him out of Atlanta’s last game before the break.
