Newly wed couple Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross (son of Diana) are teaming up together to launch a unique unisex fashion collection in the future. The couple were inspired to design the line to work for both sexes when they noticed how often they borrow basic items from each other’s wardrobes. Evan commented that they regularly wear the same clothes:
”We’re working on that, that’s the truth. The truth is – I know it sounds crazy – but we wear a lot of the same clothes.”
He added that they find themselves mixing each other’s clothes together to create interesting looks, so they want to make something androgynous and for both genders to wear equally:
”She wears a lot of my pants and certain things and we switch up outfits a lot so … We had an idea kind of about a He plus She equals We and a kind of an androgynous line would be really cool.”
Evan says they don’t usually fight over who owns what, but there are a few pieces he does like to keep for himself, especially when it comes to his favourite jackets. He commented they often even switch full looks and wear an entire outfit that the other has created previously:
”Well, usually the jackets are the ones that I’m like, ‘No that’s mine’. But we always wear all of each other’s stuff. I wear her stuff too, so sometimes she’s in my full outfit that I wore the day before and I’m in her full outfit so it works out really nice.”
