Welcome to the world of Elemental Dungeons, where Corrupted Shards hold the key to enhancing your armor and weapons to unprecedented levels of power. In this guide, we will walk you through the process of acquiring Corrupted Shards and using them effectively to bolster your equipment.

Elemental Dungeons Guide: How to Get Corrupted Shards

There are two primary methods for obtaining Corrupted Shards in Elemental Dungeons:

  • Purchase from The Merchant: The most straightforward but expensive way to acquire Corrupted Shards is by buying them from The Merchant. Keep in mind that they may not always have them in stock, so be prepared to spend a significant amount of in-game currency.
  • Challenges and Blood Moon Event: Corrupted Shards can also be obtained as rare rewards from completing challenges within the game or during the Blood Moon event. Be aware that they are still quite elusive through these means.

It’s important to note that Corrupted Shards are not guaranteed by any of these methods. Their scarcity is due to their incredible power in enhancing your weapons and elements.

How to Use Them

Once you possess Corrupted Shards, you can utilize them to augment your weapons, armor, and elements at the Corruption Merchant. However, it’s important to note that this feature becomes accessible only when you reach level 45, so ensure that you fulfill this prerequisite before proceeding.

With the necessary level attained, follow these steps to infuse your items with Corrupted Shards:

  • Locate the Corruption Merchant: In town, make your way to the hole located next to the stairs. Once you descend into this area, you will find the Corruption Merchant.

  • Corrupting Your Items:
    • Interact with the Corruption Merchant and select the “Proceed” option.
    • On the right-hand side of the screen, you will see how many Corrupted Shards you have in your possession.
    • Click the “Plus” button to add the item you wish to corrupt.
  • Corruption Results: There is a 33 percent chance for the corruption process to succeed. If the attempt fails, you will lose the Corrupted Shard but not the item. On a successful corruption, your item will shine with a purple aura, and its name will be displayed in purple, indicating the enhancement.

Important Note: You cannot corrupt necklaces, rings, or any other items that provide passive boosts. Corrupted Shards are strictly for enhancing weapons, armor, and elements.

Now that you know how to get and use Corrupted Shards in Elemental Dungeons, head into the game and acquire a plethora of them! Good luck!
