Despite Kanye West’s controversies, Kim Kardashian and daughter North West dance to Taylor Swift

Kim Kardashian appears to have changed her ways for the new year. Kim and North West, everyone’s favorite TikTok mother-daughter duo, have posted a new dance video that has many fans wondering if there is no more Bad Blood between Taylor Swift and the Kardashian-West family.

If you’re a TikTok fan, you’ll know that North West has had her fair share of viral hits and that she embraces every trend.

While her mother, Kim Kardashian, 42, monitors the account, North is the primary poster, though she occasionally coerces Kim into participating.

On Thursday, the 9-year-old shared a video of herself and her mother dancing and lip-syncing to Taylor Swift‘s ‘Shake it Off,’ which, if you’re a pop-culture expert, you’ll know is a controversial song choice.

Kanye West, Kim’s ex-husband, and Taylor Swift, 33, have had a feud since 2009, when Kanye famously took the microphone from Taylor’s hand as she accepted her award for Best Female Video at the VMAs.

Kanye West performed “Famous,” which included the line  “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous.” Swift reportedly gave the line her approval after a phone conversation in which she “gave the thumbs up.”

Following this report, Taylor’s team issued a statement saying, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account.”

This is where Kim comes in, calling Taylor a “snake” for saying she had “no idea” Kanye would call her a “b****” in the song.

Since filing for divorce from Swift in February 2021, Kim appears to have distanced herself from any of her ex’s drama, and last year even admitted to liking many of Swift’s songs.

“I really like a lot of her songs. They’re all super cute and catchy,” she said.

In recent interviews, Kim has also admitted that it is difficult to shield her four children from their father’s controversies, so her participation in North’s amusing video demonstrates that she is not willing to drag her children through any old drama.
