Demi Moore celebrates her ex-husband Bruce Willis’s 68th birthday by sharing a touching video of their entire family singing to him after learning that Willis has dementia

‘So today is my husband’s birthday,’ she began. ‘I have started the morning by crying…’

On Sunday, Bruce Willis turned 68, and Demi Moore took to social media to send him birthday greetings

The 60-year-old actress posted a video online showing her and her family singing “Happy Birthday” to the Die Hard actor as they served him a slice of apple pie with candles on top.

Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 29 are the ex-three couple’s daughters; all three attended the party with their partners and posted heartfelt tributes to their parents on Instagram.

They showed each other a close-up picture of the apple pie that looked so good.

She wrote in the caption, ‘I tried to get a pumpkin pie,’ the model wrote over the photo, noting that pumpkin is his favorite. ‘That was a no-go. Apple pie is his second favorite.’

‘He is pure love. He is so loved. And I’ll be loving him always. Happy Birthday my sweet.’

Bruce’s current wife Emma Heming posted a close-up photo of the apple pie later.

‘Happy birthday, BW! So glad we could celebrate you today,’ Demi wrote in the caption of the entire family gathered in celebration of Bruce’s birthday.

‘Love you and love our family,’ she continued. ‘Thank you to everyone for the love and warm wishes – we all feel them.’

Emma wrote a heartfelt post about the impact of her husband’s dementia diagnosis on their family.

Emma said in her video that watching Bruce’s videos was like having a “knife in my heart” as she described making a reel for him.

‘So today is my husband’s birthday,’ she began. ‘I have started the morning by crying. As you can see by my swollen eyes and snotty nose, I just think it’s important you see all sides of this.’

Emma went on to say: ‘I always get this message or people always tell me like, “Oh you’re so strong, I don’t know how you do it.” I’m not given a choice. I wish I was. But I’m also raising two kids in this.

‘So sometimes in our lives we have to put our big girl panties on and get to it. And that’s what I’m doing. But I do have times of sadness every day. Grief everyday. And I’m really feeling it today on his birthday.’

In a second video, she tried to hold back her tears as she described the montage she had been making for Bruce.

‘So I worked on this reel that I’m posting for my husband’s birthday. I don’t know why I do that because the videos are like a knife in my heart.

‘But as much as I do it for myself I do it for you. Because I know how much you love my husband and – don’t cry Emma – but it means so much to me so thank you.’

The aforementioned reel, set to Stevie Wonder’s timeless hit “As,” was shared by Emma several hours later.

The mother of two concluded her essay by writing: ‘My birthday wish for Bruce is that you continue to keep him in your prayers and highest vibrations because his sensitive Pisces soul will feel it. Thank you so much for loving and caring for him too.
