Buffalo Bills announce Josh Allen’s injury status

Joshua Patrick Allen (born May 21, 1996) is an American football quarterback for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills (NFL). Allen attended Wyoming and was named bowl game MVP before being selected seventh overall by the Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft.

UPDATE (Jan. 2): QB Josh Allen will play after recovering from an elbow injury.

UPDATE (DEC. 18): Allen completed 25 of 40 passes for 304 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in the Dolphins’ 32-29 victory on Saturday. He also ran 10 times for 77 yards.

UPDATE 4: In the Bills’ 24-10 win over the Patriots on Thursday night, Allen completed 22 of 33 passes for 223 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also rushed eight times for 20 yards and fumbled once.

UPDATE 3: Allen (right elbow) doesn’t have a designation for Sunday’s game against the Browns in Detroit.

UPDATE 2: After the NFL announced Thursday that the game had been moved from Buffalo due to the major snowstorm expected to hit Western New York this weekend, Allen and the Bills will now play Sunday’s game against the Browns at 1 p.m. ET at Ford Field in Detroit.

UPDATE: According to Mike Giardi, Allen was a limited participant in Friday’s practice and is considered “hour-to-hour” by Bills head coach Sean McDermott.
