Octopath Traveler 2 Guide – How to complete the Descended from Royalty side story

Octopath Traveler 2 Descended from Royalty

The Descended from Royalty side quest in Octopath Traveler 2 can’t be completed without a specific item from the Abandoned Village.

Octopath Traveler 2 Guide – How to complete the Descended from Royalty side story

If a character in Octopath Traveler 2 has an item in their inventory with a diamond next to its name, it’s a good idea to rob them, buy it from them, mug them, or attack them in some other way. It’s a crucial piece that will come into play later. (I’d also say if it has an annoyingly low steal rate with Throne, that’s also a sign you’ll eventually need it.) It’s also true for the Octopath Traveler 2 side story “Descended from Royalty,” as doing so can save you a lot of time later in the game.

You will see a woman with a drunk man who insists he is a Royal Descendant in the second half of Clockbank, on the far eastern side of town. That’s even what he’ll be called.

Octopath Traveler 2 Descended from Royalty 1 You can actually prove this. There is only one person left in the Abandoned Village near Flamechurch. He’s hiding out in a house near the eastern exit. You can find the Nyx Royal Family Tree in his inventory. Get that item.

Return to Clockbank once you’ve obtained it. It should be given to the Royal Descendant. This will complete the Octopath Traveler 2 “Descended from Royalty” quest and reward you with 6,000 leaves and a Resistant Nut (M).
