Kylie added blue to her hair recently and said that she wants to try new things while she’s young, even though her family didn’t like it: “One day I was just like, ‘I’m going blue. They’re all really pi**ed. My mom was like, ‘You look like a Skittle.’ I was like, ‘I’m gonna have this for two years now that you said that.’”
- Naomi Watts
Naomi enjoys experimenting with her hair for roles because she loves the whole experience: ”Changing my hair for roles is liberating, even if it’s not always a look I’d go for. Dying you hair is like getting tattoos – once you start you won’t stop. I started in my twenties, but all the travelling I do makes it tricky, as I don’t always see the same persona and blonde is a difficult colour to get right.”
- Nicole Richie
Nicole thinks hair is fun to change and she loves experimenting: “My attitude with beauty and hair is that it’s temporary: you can always change it. It’s how I feel about fashion as a whole. It’s fun to see Andy [hairstylist] and experiment and do it for over 10 years. Danny [hair colourist] is also great and crazy-looking; his hair is like a clown’s with so many colors. Danny colors Joel’s hair, too. He also gave my son a mohawk and gives my daughter hair chalk to play with.”
