5 Celebrities Who Practice Yoga to Stay Fit

Yoga is a big celebrity favourite – not only as a way to workout, tone up and keep their bodies in check, but also as a way of unwinding and meditating. These 5 celebrities have all gushed about how much they love regular yoga classes and credit it with helping them in so many ways – from giving them a spiritual lift to even making their skin better. Here is what they have to say about practicing yoga as part of their workout regime.

Jennifer loves to stay fit with yoga and says it lifts her spirit as an extra benefit: “I do yoga, yoga is very important. I love it. If I’m not doing it, then my spirit sort of goes. I try to do some form of exercise, even if it’s just for 20 minute a day, so that I get my body sweating and blood pumping.”

Katie loves Bikran yoga as a workout and has seen her skin improve too: ”I love Bikram yoga. I like the sweat. I feel like it’s good for me and good for my skin. I just don’t like the guys who wear those little tiny shorts. Why don’t they have a sign? It’s not OK!”

Before she gave birth to her son Flynn, Miranda gushed about her love for yoga and how she would use it to stay fit after pregnancy too: “I practised yoga for over 10 years and I just continued that practice throughout my whole pregnancy and then after as well. It does (keep you in shape after the birth) especially when you’re breast feeding.”

Nina is such a big yoga fan that she wants to open her own studio:  “I want to open my own yoga studio. Planning construction and looking at properties is fun. I’m using a different part of my brain. You know that feeling when you use a different muscle? You’re excited to be exercising it, but you get a little sore! Yoga changed my life. Hopefully, it will do that for others.”
