Gwyneth says she likes to show her children her serious work side: “It’s nice to show them by example how hard I work, and what it takes to be a serious person.”

Kris Jenner

Kris passed on the work ethic she learnt from her own mother: “I spent a lot of time very young paying attention to what was going on around me and I think that somehow seeped in. And then my mom and my grandmother ran businesses and stores from the time that they were really young. So I think you watch, you do and you learn from your parents. I also wanted to teach that to my girls and I love that they have developed this amazing work ethic, and that’s how they live their lives.”

Rod Stewart

Rod makes his children work for money: “We have housekeepers but I want the boys to be responsible and get that work ethic early. They should grow up believing that they need to get a job, not only to contribute something to society but to be able to wake up in the morning with a purpose instead of just thinking, ‘Well, my dad’s rich’.”

Sting

Sting says his children will have to learn to work: “I certainly don’t want to leave them trust funds that are albatrosses round their necks. They have to work. All my kids know that and they rarely ask me for anything, which I really respect and appreciate.”

Victoria Beckham

Victoria wants her children to work hard to achieve what they want: “I don’t have to work, I need to work. But I have a good work ethic. David has an incredible work ethic. I want my kids to have a good work ethic. I believe you can achieve anything if you work hard enough to get it.”
