Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 8 Best Boss Fights Ranked

Flux Construct

The Flux Construct is a mini-boss that you will come across several times. You will be presented with a puzzle as well as a boss fight. The former entails determining which parts of the Construct are vulnerable to your attacks, and the latter entails slamming that part with all your might.

The key to defeating Flux Construct is to aim for the glowing Cube containing the Construct’s Core. This is also where the boss’s energy comes from. You must keep an eye out for the Construct’s moves, as they will reveal the Cube in various locations. Hit the glowing Cube before the Construct strikes again.

Master Kohga

Throughout Tears of the Kingdom, you will face the Yiga Clan’s leader four times. All battles take place in the perilous depths, with Kohga lying in wait with his latest battle contraptions. The final encounter with the Zonai Construct is the most difficult, with Kogha equipped with homing bombs and laser beams, as well as a defensive matrix that deflects any arrows you flick from his bow. Beating each of Master Kohka’s quest line battles earns you a Schema Stone, with a schematic for the Autobuild system as the ultimate reward.

Seized Construct

Seized Construct, a contraption possessed by the Demon King, can certainly take a walloping while trapping you in a makeshift wrestling ring. Almost everything you throw or swing in its direction causes minimal damage on contact. Instead, the most effective strategy for dispatching this mechanical beast is to whack it when stunned into the ropes of its own boxing ring lining the edge of the arena, with the electrical charge taking chunks off its health bar.

Phantom Ganon

Phantom Ganon, a spectral version of Ganondorf, appears in numerous boss battles in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The first one will be held in Hyrule Castle. He will teleport around and create clones of himself in order to confuse you and cause massive damage.

You need to use your shield in conjunction with your Time Bomb to hit well-timed shots with your bow and defeat him. The other fights in Deku Tree and beneath Hyrule Castle will be relatively easy because you will have stronger armour and weapons by that point.

Colgera

Your encounter with Colgera, who guards the air surrounding the Hebran Wind Temple, is essentially one white knuckle skydiving session, with Colgera’s centipede-esque frame periodically exposing a glowing glasslike weak spot for you to either fling arrows through or simply hurtle headfirst at speed, smashing Colgera’s center into shards of neon glass. If you can avoid its tornadoes and skyward spike attacks, you’ll be golden and freefalling to victory.

Marbled Gohma

Marbled Gohma is one of the most satisfying bosses to defeat. It’s a hulking rocky cave crab with pummeling legs that will deal massive damage if you step on it.

You can charge and fling Yunobo’s attack to destroy Marbled Gohma’s legs with his help. Repeat this action a few times and Marbled Gohma will have had enough, opting to drop bombs from the ceiling during the battle’s second phase. The only difference here is that you must direct Yunobo’s attack upwards to bring down the boss.

Queen Gibdo

Queen Gibido is a massive spider/moth-like creature that lives in Lake Hylia’s depths. She has a hard shell that protects her from most attacks and is also known as the Scourge of the Lightning Temple. She can also launch tornado-like attacks across the arena, attacking you with sand beams.

You’ll need to use your Ultrahand skill to take her down. Pick up and hurl objects at her vulnerable areas, such as her eyes and abdomen. Use your fusioned bow and arrows to stun her, allowing you to close the distance and attack with melee weapons.

Ganondorf

Zelda: Tears for the Kingdom‘s final boss is Ganondorf. He is the King of Evil, and with the power of the Triforce, he plans to engulf Hyrule in darkness.

The final showdown with Demon King Ganondorf is a drawn-out and difficult fight. The dark lord goes through three distinct stages. The first involves facing off against his Gerudo form, a swift fighter armed with Gloom powers.

The key to defeating him is to keep an eye on his movements and recognize when to hold back an attack to protect yourself. When his HP bar is depleted, he will enter his second phase and create multiple copies of himself throughout the arena. To defeat it, try to eliminate Ganondorf’s duplicates, giving you more room and safety to move around.
