Will Jimmy Butler and Jordan Clarkson JOINING tonight’s game? Injury Report Jazz – Heat

The Miami Heat host the Utah Jazz on Monday night as they look to move up in the Eastern Conference standings. Miami comes into this game with a record of 36-33 while the Jazz are 33-35.

Update Injury for Miami Heat and Utah Jazz

Right now, the Miami Heat are not at their basketball peak performance. They are now 36-33 after losing eight of their last twelve games. They’ve lost ground in the East, where they’re currently seventh, and are three games behind the Knicks for the final playoff spot.

The return of point guard Kyle Lowry from the injured list gives the Heat a much-needed boost.

On Saturday, Lowry played 36 minutes off the bench for Miami as they lost 126-114 in overtime to the Orlando Magic. This was his first game since February 2 due to a left knee injury. He made 4 of 8 shots on the way to 12 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals (3 of 6 on 3-pointers).

It was Lowry’s first game as a reserve in 10 years.

In spite of Jimmy Butler’s season high 38 points on Saturday, the Heat have lost four of their last seven games. He was also perfect from the free throw line, scoring 8 times in as many attempts.

The 33-year-old has started 20 consecutive games, averaging 24.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.5 steals on 54.9 percent shooting from the field and 85.0 percent from the charity stripe.

On Monday, the Heat will play the Jazz for the first time since their 126-123 victory in Utah on New Year’s Eve. Because of his knee injury, Butler didn’t play in that game.

The Utah Jazz have kept their playoff hopes alive all season long. With a 33-35 record, they hold down the 10th and final postseason berth in the Western Conference.

However, they are only 2 games behind sixth-place Golden State and only a game behind seventh-place Dallas and Minnesota.

  • Jordan Clarkson – Questionable

Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune notes that Jordan Clarkson (finger) is questionable for Monday’s game against Miami.

Clarkson has missed the last three games because of a finger injury; he will likely test his finger during Monday’s shootaround, but don’t be surprised if he’s a game-time call against Miami.

Injury report Jazz

  • Jordan Clarkson (Finger) = Questionable
  • Collin Sexton (Hamstring) – Out

Injury report Heat

  • Kyle Lowry (Knee) = Questionable
  • Caleb Martin (Knee) = Questionable
  • Duncan Robinson (Covid-19) – Out
  • Cody Zeller (Nose) – Out

Robinson is still sidelined due to COVID-19 measures. His absence won’t be felt too greatly because he hasn’t been a regular starter in head coach Erik Spoelstra’s rotation this year.

Zeller will sit out due to a broken nose. He suffered a broken nose on Saturday and will be out of commission until the swelling subsides and he is given a mask to wear.

Martin (knee) missed Saturday’s game, the second of a back-to-back set, due to knee soreness, but he has a chance to play on Monday.
