It’s completely possible that the Yankees-Orioles will start on time at 1:05 p.m.

There’s also talk that they might postpone the game until later in the day or turn Sunday into a doubleheader, which would be unusual for a getaway day. The Orioles must return to Baltimore on Monday to face the Blue Jays, while the Yankees must travel to Texas to face the Rangers.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather warning for New York City.

Light rain is expected, mainly between 2am and 5am, followed by rain with light rain after 5am. Temperature hovering around 57 degrees. Winds from the northeast at 7 to 11 mph. The likelihood of precipitation is 80%. A quarter to half an inch of new precipitation is possible.

Rain, primarily before 2 p.m. The temperature will be around 58 degrees. Winds from the northeast at 13 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. The likelihood of precipitation is 90%. A half-inch to three-quarters inch of new precipitation is possible.

  • Saturday Evening

There is a 50% chance of rain. A low of 54°F is forecast. Winds from the northeast at 14 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph.

  • Sunday

There is a 50% chance of rain. A high near 61 degrees is forecast. Winds from the northeast at 15 to 18 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.

  • Sunday Evening

There is a 30% chance of rain. A low of 49 degrees is forecast. Winds from the northeast at 16 mph.
