Tayla Damir, winner of Love Island Australia, says she had a “scare” during her pregnancy one day after announcing she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Nathan Broad

Just one day after telling the world that she and Nathan Broad are expecting their first child together, Tayla Damir had a scare with their pregnancy.

The former reality star posted an ultrasound picture of her unborn child to Instagram on Saturday.

She commented with a heart emoji in the photo’s caption: ‘Had a scare but bubba held on,’

Tayla posted a picture of herself in a white dress and a baby bump she said appeared “overnight.”

On Friday, the newlywed AFL glamour couple announced the exciting news of their impending parenthood on Instagram.

The Love Island winner and her footballer husband, both 25, proudly displayed a sign announcing their pregnancy with a girl.

Tayla showed off her expanding belly while also posting a photo of her ultrasound.

She captioned the photo of the reality star standing naked in front of a stove: ‘Cooking for three!’

Their extravagant wedding took place in the middle of October, and Tayla is already several weeks along in her pregnancy, having already learned the sex of her unborn child.

That means she probably conceived on or around the time of her wedding.

Tayla’s guests were not allowed to use their phones as she made her way down the aisle at the couple’s wedding, which was held in the Gold Coast hinterland and attended by family, friends, and fellow influencers.

She had previously told The Herald Sun that she and Richmond player Nathan wanted to have a “unplugged” wedding in which guests were asked to refrain from bringing cameras or other recording equipment.

‘When I walk down the aisle, I want to see everyone’s face rather than the back of phones so in that case it probably will be a no-phone wedding,’ she explained.

The bride radiated sophistication in her Oglia-Loro Couture white floral gown, and the groom looked dapper in his MJ Bale classic tuxedo.

The model’s brunette hair was neatly bunched and covered by a long veil, and her lace dress flowed to the floor behind her.

On Tuesday, Tayla shared some stunning wedding photos from the couple’s big day on Instagram with the caption: ‘Mr and Mrs Broad -17.10.22.’

The couple started dating in late 2019, and other photos show them posing on a hilltop against a pastoral backdrop.

Tayla also showed off a shaky video of the couple holding hands and watching fireworks together.

Tayla recently came clean about her desire to tie the knot with Nathan before starting a family, citing her ‘traditional’ upbringing as the reason.

Nonetheless, she made it abundantly clear that she was eager to begin a family at the earliest opportunity.

In an Instagram Q&A she answered: ‘I’m traditional in the sense than I would ideally like to be married first, but after that, let the baby-making begin,’

The model announced her engagement to the three-time premiership player in June 2022, posting a video to Instagram of the moment her boyfriend proposed.

Nathan surprised Tayla by proposing to her on their front porch, and the footage was captured by their home surveillance system.
