Story of the Day: ‘The Situation’ Says He’s Sober After “Unbearable” Rehab

‘Jersey Shore’ star The Situation has finally got a handle on his drug problem and is sober according to him. He admits that he’s just doing his best at the moment after checking into rehab earlier this year. He claims to have become addicted to painkillers following an injury sustained during his time on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (we all knew that show was addictive). He commented on his current state:

”I’m doing my best. All I can do is take it one day at a time. I’m completely sober now. This is the healthiest I’ve been in a very long time.”

There were fears that the final season of Jersey Shore might have caused a relapse, but the crew members on set watched him and in essence babysat him to make sure he stayed sober and on track for recovery. A source commented:

”The film crew were like his babysitters and helped him stay in check. It really helped him through his recovery.”

The Situation says that his time spent in rehab was unbearably hard but he knew he had to go through it and is now very healthy:

”I was dependent on prescription pills. I knew I needed help and I went to rehab. Rehab is the most unbearable, unpleasant experience you could possibly go through but I am the cleanest and healthiest I have ever been since I was 21 or so.”
