On Thursday, Grammy winner Britney Spears published five stills from a dance video she had posted the previous Sunday on her YouTube channel in honor of throwback Thursday, featuring her dancing to her song “The Hook Up,” which was released in 2003.

During performing “The Hook Up” in 2003, Britney Spears wore a gold-fringed corset minidress

The 41-year-old pop icon, who is now semi-retired, showed off her amazing 5ft4in body in a pair of brown shoes and a gold-fringed embroidered corset mini-dress that seemed more like a costume than actual clothing.

Britney no longer performs in front of adoring fans in packed arenas, but rather in the privacy of her Calabasas mansion or on the beaches of Hawaii, where she has amassed a total of 157.3 million followers.

Spears, who takes Prozac for depression, has included a red rose emoji in the corner of the screen in her two most recent Videoshop-created social media postings.

The singer from Mississippi has been posting photos of her favorite flower, the rose, since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, calling it her “personal photo project” and naming it “Project Rose” after “BeyoncĂ© and Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw.”

‘Some say they smell the fragrance of roses while communicating with angels in prayer or meditation. Did you know? I didn’t either!’ Britney mused of the symbology in 2020.

“Angels use rose scents as signs of their spiritual presence because roses have energy fields that vibrate at a high electrical frequency – the highest of any flower on Earth! Pssss … in other words buy some damn roses!”

On May 25th, Spears shot an unspecified appearance for the upcoming six-part HBO drama The Idol, created by Sam Levinson, Reza Fahim, and The Weeknd.

In addition to her $15 million contract with Simon & Schuster, the Hold Me Closer singer finished “three separate editions” of her tell-all memoir in July 2022.

What Britney will reveal in her forthcoming book about her strained relationships with her family members, her 13-year conservatorship that ended in 2021, and its impact on her psyche and professional life, as well as her battle to regain custody of her two teenage sons, is anyone’s guess.

Spears and her husband of one year, hunk from her Slumber Party video Sam Asghari, will celebrate their first wedding anniversary on June 9. The couple recently sold her $11.8 million Calabasas mansion for $10.1 million.

The former Mouseketeer and the Iranian 29-year-old confirmed a miscarriage on May 14, exactly one month after announcing the pregnancy, but they still want to “continuing to try to expand our beautiful family.”
