Tasked with saving the series’ longstanding hero, Captain Olimar, the recruit ends up crash-landing on a mysterious planet. To ease the wait for the new game, Nintendo released remasters of the first two Pikmin games on the Switch earlier this year, available digitally, with physical releases scheduled for September. Additionally, players can catch up on the series with Pikmin 3 Deluxe, an enhanced port of the Wii U’s third installment, released on the Switch in 2020, and Hey! Pikmin on the 3DS in 2017.
