NBA 2K24 fell short for many players, leaving them eagerly awaiting NBA 2K25. Here’s a breakdown of what we currently know about the upcoming title, including its expected release date, potential cover stars, and game modes.

NBA 2K25 Release Date

NBA 2K25 officially launches on September 6th, 2024 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

 

It’s a big year for PC players, as they’ll finally be receiving the new-gen version with ProPLAYTM technology in MyNBA, The W, and The City modes. However, keep in mind that PC players won’t have access to crossplay, which is exclusive to PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Gear Up for Different Editions

NBA 2K25 offers four editions to suit your budget and preferences:

  • Standard Edition: This base edition starts at £49.99 (Nintendo Switch) and goes up to £69.99 (PS5, Xbox Series X/S).
  • WNBA Edition (North America Only): Featuring A’ja Wilson on the cover, this edition costs $69.99 and is exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, available only at GameStop.
  • All-Star Edition: Packed with extras, this edition costs £89.99 and is available on all platforms (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch).
  • Hall of Fame Edition: The ultimate fan package, this edition includes a 12-month NBA League Pass subscription and exclusive rewards. It costs £129.99 and is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

Who’s on the Cover?

This year, NBA 2K25 boasts multiple cover stars:

  • Jayson Tatum: The young superstar graces the Standard Edition.
  • A’ja Wilson: The WNBA champion leads the WNBA Edition.
  • Vince Carter: The legendary Vince Carter is featured on the special Hall of Fame Edition.
