Following Denver’s final practice of the week, Gordon was specifically classified as “questionable” for Monday Night Football’s game against his former team, the Chargers.

After taking part in Denver’s final practice of the week on Saturday, Gordon (neck/ribs) is now officially labeled as “questionable” after having attempted a small amount of practice all week.

In spite of his “questionable” status, Gordon is worth waiting for given the season-ending injury to fellow RB Javonte Williams. Fantasy managers are forced to choose between a different choice or waiting for Gordon to be upgraded to active before MNF due to his current situation.

In the first week Williams wasn’t playing, Gordon played 56 percent of the snaps and dominated in the red zone and on the goal line. Although the prospect of a poor game script as 4.5-point away underdogs exists, Gordon also contributes to the passing game, which is encouraging for a respectable fantasy point production on MNF.

His floor in PPR formats is raised by the fact that he ranks 10th among all running backs in yards per reception (8.9) and yards per route run (1.78).

Mike Boone (38 percent owned in Yahoo leagues), who would handle a significant workload and rank as an RB2 in both standard and PPR formats, is the most obvious option if Gordon is unable to play.

Latavius Murray, a seasoned running back who is only listed on the rosters of 14% of leagues, is behind Boone.

Boone’s workload would unquestionably be reduced by Murray, but he would probably only be a flex option in deeper leagues.

Murray did collect 13 fantasy points while playing for the Raiders in Week 4’s matchup with the Broncos (11 carries, 57 yards, one TD).

We don’t blame you for departing if you have a more secure option at running back and don’t want to worry about Gordon playing on Monday night.
